SANTHOSHA VIDHYALAYA is a venture of faith and Jesus Christ is its cornerstone.  It has its origin in the concern of those who were prompted by the Holy Spirit to provide first rate educational facilities in a homely atmosphere for the children of gospel workers serving in remote mission fields.  But the school is not exclusively for the children of gospel workers as it was felt that these children in order to be free from any complex should have an opportunity to live with other children whose parents are neither gospel workers nor Christians.

SANTHOSHA VIDHYALAYA  is in the premises of the Dohnavur Fellowship, Dohnavur, where the Irish missionary Amy Carmichael’s work for children grew and continues ever since.  Dohnavur is in Tirunelveli District, one of the southern districts of Tamilnadu and the school is housed in a sprawling campus amidst sylvan surroundings with the picturesque Western Ghats as its backdrop.  The peace and quiet of the entire campus provides a congenial atmosphere to learning.
